Join Community Matters on Giving Tuesday as we raise funds to implement our brand new social-emotional learning program Safe School Buddies into Brook Hill Elementary in Santa Rosa.
This high need school has a high number of English learners,
are socio-economically disadvantaged, and the school receives
no community donations.
Brook Hill will benefit greatly from Safe School Buddies, which harnesses the power of younger students in grades 1-3 to promote kindness and respect of others. It includes a strong literacy component focusing on helping young learners meet classroom literacy standards.
Safe School Buddies prepares younger students to become upstanders, to set positive and inclusive social norms on campus and also to become Safe School Ambassadors when they enter 4th grade.
This is achieved by focusing on social interactions,
emotional awareness and self-regulation.
Social inclusivity and kindness starts at an early age.
Help us create schools that are welcoming,
inclusive, safe and engaging for all students.
We are 41 states and 5 countries strong, training over 100,000 students in more than 2,000 schools.
Help us amplify our impact!
Impact for students in 2020 starts today!
